Get NVQ assessor qualifications while at university

I am currently studying a social science degree at university in hope to become a social worker in the government scheme.

However, I have been looking at taking courses to become an nvq assessor as a back up after uni. I have been a care assistant before - in a care home environment and community environment and I have also got a nvq level 2 in health and social care. I am starting a new job as a housekeeper at the moment in a nursing home.

Do you think it is a good idea to do this next summer while I am free? I know there are intensive course programmes where you can finish it in under a month.
I would love to get more qualifications under my belt in the health and social care sector.

Thanks in advance
