Topic for Argument Essay

Hi,

I have to plan and write an argumentative essay on a topic of my choice..except I have no idea what to do it on!!!

Does anyone have any controversial topics I could base it on?

And any tips for writing it?

Choose a topic you feel strongly about and have a lot to say about.

Choose a topic like abortion/euthanasia which clearly divides many people. I recently did a speech on torture, and for my GCSE English essay my argument was about grammar schools and their problems i.e. lack of funding, incompetent teachers, spoon-feeding etc. I also did another argumentative speech for English about thinsporation sites and achieved full marks.
