Interview-good sign?

Hey there,

So I applied for a MA in creative writing and I got and email that read: "invitation for interview", is this a good sign?

The e-mail aso said: " I found your application very strong, and I’m particularly interested in hearing more about your writing and your interest in Southampton." Could this be copy paste?

I would really appreciate your help. I'm an international student and I have found the process of applying to universities nerve wracking. I check my e-mail a million times a day and the universities are taking ages to decide.

Yes it's a good sign. I don't mean to sound patronising but it's exactly what it says on the tin.

You've been invited for an interview. You're invited because they found your application strong and want to hear more about your writing and interest in their Uni.

Even if it is a copy/paste, they're impressed enough to give you an opportunity. Congrats and GL!
