If biochemistry was taught such, I challenge that idea that doctors won't actually find it worth learning about.
On a side note, the Krebs cycle is really integral to the human physiology than we could ever imagine, even unto oxidative stress from electron transfer leading to the latest of disease states.

Have a biochem PhD, worked in the industry for 4 years, never needed to know krebs. Its the oxbow lake of biology.
