Electron or beta minus?

I am revising Feynmann diagrams for my Unit 1 Physics exam on Tuesday and am unsure about when to use beta minus as the symbol or an electron. Is beta minus only ever used in beta decays, or is it used under other circumstances?

It's a small thing, but I would appreciate it if someone could clear this up for me.

Personally, I like to draw mine with a big red dot in the middle, as this reminds me of an Indian person (I am Indian), and therefore helps me remember - please see attached.
