im stuck on a few calculations.. i have been given the answer but i dont no how to get to it.

1.) Potassium chloride is supplied to hospitals in a 5 mL ampoule containing 16 % m/v KCl. What total volume is produced upon dilution of the ampoule to a 40 mM solution of KCl? Provide the answer to 2 decimal places.

the answer is 268.46 mL

2)What concentration, in %m/v is required in a 6 mL ampoule that when made up to 1 litre produces a 26 mM solution of KCl Give your answer to 2 decimal places.

the answer is 32.28mL

was wondering if ne body could giv me a simple method..thanks a lot :smile:
