Any of the social sciensies should`nt be critisised untill you get to know the fundamental stratigies involved with the subject.Psycoligy is about helping people and resolving complex issues..

nah as long as you get 6.5 which is like 'can have good understandable coversations in english' then you should be fine lol. :biggrin:

hm... what do i like most about psychology... you read my personal statement, didn't you? i am most fascinated by neuropsychology, because of the experiments and because i love biology - especially neurobiology.
i also like the fact that you have many areas to work in after your graduation, cause i'm not really sure yet if i want to work rather as a clinical psychologist or more scientifically.. or in business.
ah, but i really love most of psychology - except for statistics perhaps, but i don't mind much doing some maths.
can't wait to beginn my studies! :biggrin:

i think i loved the bits about diseases like schizophrenia and stuff, that was the really exciting bit when i studied it at Alevels. don't get me wrong,the rest are fine but that was the good stuff! hehe. like you said,the good thing about psychology is that you can get a job in almost all industries which is good.i don't know what i want to do after uni :redface:

but hopefully i'll know soon enough lol :smile:

yep, i like freud too. though he sometimes makes me laugh :biggrin:

in germany they don't consider him at all in the psychology courses, they do a lot more business psychology

can't quite understand why, a lot of his theories are proven by neurologists now.

well, i must admit when i first read his theories about psychosexual development i was quite put off as well at first... "clitoris inferiority" and "penis envy" :wtf?: pleeease! :biggrin:

but if you read some more he indeed makes sense, especially what he wrote about incest prevention of primitive people... really entertaining as well :biggrin:

Heh, Thats pretty much what were doing now.. we have to go through all of the stages. I hate writing them up the most as APA does my head in. Whatever way I do it its always wrong!
