when does it go from being mates, to actually telling her i am interested, does it develop naturally, yeah im sure it does, or do i have to signal my intentions:
how long should we just be friends, im enjoying this period, but i want to tell her,
what do girls prefer?

i was friends with my bf for quite a while before he actually asked me out, then one night he invited me along with some others to go listen to a jazz gig with him - we had great fun and later that night he texted me saying that he had feelings for me that were more than just friendship, but if i didn't feel the same we could just remain friends
i'd also had feelings for him for quite a while so it gave us both the opportunity to realise we felt the same way and we've been together ever since
every girl is different though, some may prefer never knowing or may just be flattered at knowing, or you might find she feels the same, you never know unless you say anything

i would wait until you're sure, and you're sure she likes you.

I was best mates with my gf for a year, and i made a move, and now we've been together a year :biggrin:
