Neuroscience

Neuroscience is my back-up course for medicine, and I might be looking to apply through clearing (looking at Southampton and Leicester).
I've looked at the modules, and like the sound of them. What kind of books could I read to help get a feel for the subject? And could someone give me an idea of the careers that would be available after the degree, and whether a masters is fairly essential?
Thank you!x

Bump.
Have a look at course structures to get an idea of what will be taught and read around them. You may even find some reading lists. If you're wanting a career in research a masters if not a PhD is highly recommended. Otherwise you can do pretty much anything that uses your transferable skills.
