Preparing for life after college

Hi! My name's Scott and I'm fast approaching my second year of college but it feels more like the approach for Uni. I have a general idea of what I would like to do after college but I'm just so confused about what options I have next, where to go for uni and what to do to help me prepare and look better for the uni.

For uni I would like to go into something around film and TV production but thats as much of an idea that I have. I dont have any idea around where to go to study this course. Also I dont know what the best path for me is because I know some uni courses offer placement years but should I look into taking a gap year and build some experience by getting work experience, intern ship or an apprenticeship within that gap year. What should I be doing myself away from the classroom tasks and even outside of college.
