Brilliant thank you for the advice.

Are you doing decision 1/2, I can't believe that it is not in STEP, seems about as relevant as business studies. But the algorithms are fun to play around with.

Actaully I can believe it nm lol.

Do you know if we can apply laplace transformations to help solve differential equations for STEP?

Yes i am for AFM he reason it isnt in step is because its just a slog.

sounds plausible.

Regarding Laplace transforms. If it makes site question trivial not so much. But tbh differential equations are one of the easiest things in step.

I see, so they don't go beyond fp2 1st order 2nd order in terms of difficulty?

Knowledge wise yes they don't. But in terms of difficulty they will obviously be harder then your A2 FP2 questions.

Do maths people hijack every thread or
Oxford is better for Physics and overall science, But it specialises. Cambridge NatSci is good for if you haven't decided where to go.

happens a lot
I would recommend visiting both and seeing which you like the best, incl what you feel is the best fit of course. The odds at getting into either is equally challenging.

Go with your gut.

My daughter had set Oxford as a goal from the age of 12. She then visited it as a prospective student and was completely put off by its stuffiness and arrogance, as she perceived it. We then went to Cam, she loved it, and now is very happy there.

Is it really that hard to get an interview from Oxford?

The difference si that Oxford sets entrance tests for most of its courses, so it weeds out a lot of people at that stage. There is no equivalent at Cambridge so they neeed to interview more people.

There's still admissions tests at Cambridge lol
