Battle of Moscow vs Battle of Stalingrad?

after which one would you say the Germans were, basically, screwed?

ie which one was the turning point in your opinion?

or is it another event?

this is for the battle on the eastern front (ps no e.g "german decl on USA etc).

I think most people would agree with Stalingrad. Even had the Germans taken Moscow, I'm fairly certain the Soviets would have fought on a la Alexander a century and a half before. Stalingrad saw the most prisoners and the highest casualties, if I'm not correct.

yep as i thought.

however what i shall do is examine the links between the two and see how the factors influencing defeat @ first one (Moscow) filtered through to 2nd one.
