I would always say live in halls to get the full university experience, all the socialising, budgeting, cooking, meeting new people etc. However I wouldn't recommend it for nursing students, unless you live in halls just for nursing students maybe. I did a psychology degree which was 5 hours of lectures a week sometimes. I had a great time :-). However if you were a nursing student living in the next room from me it would have been very hard for you. Working full time shifts, plus studying and assignments when the rest of your hall mates are out drinking until 5 am? Will the halls even be open enough weeks of the year? My degree was basically October - may with breaks for Xmas , Easter and a huge one over summer. Nursing students don't get the same, nowhere near.
