Sponsored Degree Schemes (Higher Apprenticeships) vs Computer Science Degree?

Can anyone help outline the differences between the two. Capgemini offer a, what sounds too good to be true, degree scheme for those with CCC A levels. It takes 5 years to get the degree, but you undertake full time work and get paid as well.

I'm guessing the degree must be poor, and from a worse choice university?

Well if all you have is CCC at A level it sounds like a solid plan.

I have ABB predictions, AAC AS, and think I will get above BBB next year. In comparison to a CS degree at an RG uni, is what I wanted to know.
