Just discovered a new anime. It's called Yuri on Ice. It's gay. Watching it while procrastinating at the library. Hope there's no porny scenes.

It's very pure and lovable and all my babies deserve so much love and support omg it's a masterpiece. Move out the way Angel Beats, YOI is gay and beautiful.

Not true, I'm almost sure. ANN lists nothing of the sort, and I've never seen an OVA come out so soon after the end of a TV airing. I don't know what sort of specials will be on the blu-ray release, but wouldn't expect a full-length bonus episode (if there is going to be one) until the last volume is released in around half a years' time.

Ahh, that's a pity! It'll be an anticipatory wait, then. I wish the DVD wasn't so expensive, though - £50 per DVD is way too much to be able to afford.... (thank you for covering me on the spoiler front!)

As Christmas time comes to an end, I would love to know whether anime films or series about Christmas exist. I personally don't know an anime and I have my doubts they are in existence, as Christmas has almost no meaning in Japan. Maybe I am wrong?

Satoshi Kon's masterpiece Tokyo Godfathers is probably the best anime Christmas film out there by far IMO, though it isn't about Christmas, that's just the setting, so I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for. There's stuff like Itsudatte My Santa!, and the Kickstarted Santa Company - definitely have Christmas written all over them, but neither is highly rated. Then there's the old Machi Ichiban no Kechinbou, an anime adaptation of Dickens' Christmas Carol.

As ever, I can't remember everything I've recommended you in the past, but here's a few suggestions:

Samurai Champloo

Psycho-Pass

Kuromukuro

Baccano!

Mob Psycho 100

Hi, took a bit longer this time
I liked Psycho-Pass and Mob Psycho 100

The others I didn't watch more than 3 episodes of before I got bored

SO, as you may or may not know:
-30 Episodes ish
-Mystery, War, Swordfights, Fantasy, Puzzle is all the genre's that I've loved so far!
-New/ Good graphics/ Good Art

And anything you think a 20 year old man may enjoy...

Tagging and quoting is overkill, I heard you the first time! :p:

As ever, here's a load of series, hope that one or more of them take your interest.

Bungou Stray Dogs - 24 eps including its second series.

Shuumatsu no Izetta - Only 12 eps, but one of the better of last season's offerings, and certainly fits the fantasy and war tags.

Sengoku Basara - Has two sequels and a movie. Aired after the switch to HD, and Production I.G. are one of the best studios out there, so the animation should be up to scratch.

Break Blade - A TV edit of the earlier movies, so the animation is better than a lot of TV anime (and again, Production I.G.) I'd recommend the TV version over the movies though, as they added a few scenes.

Phi Brain: Kami no Puzzle - It would be wrong for me not to recommend this to someone who specifically asked for puzzle anime. Has two sequels.

Regarding age, all I can say is that I watched them all while over the age of 20, and liked the lot. :dontknow: (Though I imagine Phi Brain could get repetitive if you marathoned it instead of watching it weekly like I did while it aired).

An adaption of Dickens' Christmas Carol as an anime? I am a bit surprise. Know a lot adaptions in form of a cartoon and lot of films about Dickes Christmas story. But never heard about an anime to that.

Well, it was animated by Japan's Topcraft (the studio that produced Nausicaa), but co-produced with America's Rankin/Bass Productions and made for the US audience, so some sites don't count it as anime. Depends on your definition really - to me the animation looks unmistakably anime-style.

The anime-style reminds me a bit of Captain Future and Heidi. It is not the style which is so familar to me. Co-produced with an American production? so I guess English is the original language?
