OP: Go be an investment banker, make lots of money, and then divide it between all of us who replied to your post, as without us you would have gone into medicine and been stressed and unhappy. We deserve a portion of your millions for making that decision for you.

I doubt that it's that easy to become a rich IB.

I'm sure I read in the paper that the average bonus for investment bankers was £500,000 last year, so it's probably not that difficult to make a lot of money.

Difficulty merely arises from:

- Beating the competition to get the job.
- Beating the competition to perform well enough in the job - hence keeping it! :wink:

I don't envy my friends working in investment banks at the moment one bit... though I'm willing to help spend the bonuses they have limited time to. :biggrin:
