Advanced Higher Biology (Cfe) Investigations

For our biology investigations, our teachers have told us to put our pilot studies in our procedures. I am confused on how to structure this pilot study and fit it into my procedures. I thought modifications would be mentioned in our discussion, not procedures. My modifications are quite minor in my investigation. I know some schools have been told to only record their pilot study in their log book. I don't know what to do. Any help would be great. thanks in advance : )
