Pharmaceutical Science

ok, ive applied for this course instead of pharmacy, cos i think u get betta chances of working in the pharmacuetical industry, which is what i want...but the trouble is ive accepted it as my firm choice in herts and ive got no clue as to what exactly pharmaceutical science is, so i was wondering if any1 was applying to the same course or if any1 knows anything at all about this course...please holler back if you've got any info...:tsr2:

Pharmaceutical industry from Herts uni? I think that's unlikely, purely because of uni reputation. At my Nottingham interview for Pharmacy they said only 4 or 5 people went into industry last year. Manchester just didn't say much about it when I asked. I don't know how industry view pharmaceutical science, but based on the uni rep you're likely to need a Phd.

Ive heard a couple of times on this forum that its quite similar to the first 3 years of a pharmacy course

I suggest you read these articles, which should tell you that pharmacy isnt just about community and hospital.

(it should be called 'industrial pharmacy: under the microscope' and there are also some very interesting articles on the side'

The article should encourage pharmacists going into industry,
