Science Coursework Plagiarism

Hey guys! Yesterday I had to go back to school and sign something to do with my Core Science coursework. The man there explained to me about it something to do with plagiarism. So does that mean that by signing that piece of paper that it will prove to the exam board that my coursework was not a result of plagiarism?

By signing it, you are saying that 'this is my work and I did not plagiarize it' in essence. It doesn't prove that you didn't plagiarize in anyway however.
