Assalamu 'alaikum
Im in a bit of a sticky situation
My family have recently gotten a mortgage to buy our house
Now they want me to get a job so i can chip in and help pay for the mortgage
I know this mortgage is completely impermissible, and I wanted to have nothing to do with it, but now i'm inevitably being sucked in because i live under the same roof
Not helping to pay the mortgage will cause a lot of problems and arguments
What would you guys do/what should i do?

I don't know how those things work, but you shouldn't obey your parents if they're encouraging something haram. However you should speak to them kindly and advise them in the best manner what they're doing is wrong, so they'll be more likely to listen to you.

Just make excuses why you can't get a job, uni starting etc. They'll get over it.
It's up to you what you wanna do, but personally I wouldn't contribute a single penny.

If you're going to continue to live in the house i suggest you pay up to avoid arguments if you can afford to as i think a mortgage in these circumstances is a neccessity.
