This guy has made an analisys of this interview, there is not much more to be said.

Maybe exept for the fact, that those of jobs which don't require high IQ, are better paid if they involve taking risks or strong physical strenght. Men are on average stronger and more prone to take risks than women, therefore there is no surprise that 6 foot tall guy big like a bear who builds roof earns more than a hygiene technician. Being strong enough to carry 50 kilos heavy joists whole day long, and brave enough to risk falling down and breaking your neck deserves a solid reward, especially since there is not too much of people capable of such work - even many men are not strong enough, but most of people strong enough to do the job, will be men.

if there is no pay gap then why do Wayne Roney earn £350,000 a week and Step Houghton (man city and England captain) earns about £17,000 a year

Entertainment industry in short to be frank. Wages there are so dependant on money bought in - tickets and sponsorship for football, tickets and albums for musicians etc. Men's football attracts far more big tv deals and sponsorship packages than women's football - there's more money in the men's leagues than the women's, hence higher wages. You can't really use an example that is entirely down to celebrity appeal to demonstrate an underlying issue.

Employers hire people who can do the job. They don't hire people and then determine their salary depending on how much work they do.

Unless you work for Uber, or deliver for Amazon of course!
