Is a psychology degree from the open university less valuble than from a proper uni?

Nope, a degree is a degree. The OU is an excellent university, so you have nowt to fear
Just avoid Diploma Mills

No, it's not less valuable than a "real" University. The OU is the hardest way to do a degree (and recognised as such by most employers), as you have no real structure to the course, you have to learn everything yourself, and most people who do one are also in a full time job. However, if you have the choice do not do the OU route - it is ridiculously hard.

The British Psychological Society, who keeps the Register of Chartered Psychologists, accepts it so it's fine.

I'm starting an OU Psychology degree in Feb and I was worried about the same thing but at the end of the day a degree is a degree and you show great perseverance and skill doing one by yourself!
I'd go to uni if it was an option for me (i'm going to be a mum so it isn't).
Purely for the fact it's quicker that way!

In which case, the very best of luck to you.

Yeah, I think you can transfer credits either way too if you change from OU to uni if it's the same course.
