Got an A in AQA Sociology... 528/600!

Good luck to everyone with University and life!
omggggggggg, about to start sociology again at uni. I'll actually be able to help people with sociological questions again too.
im starting sociology and psychology at uni tomorrow #excited# but i literally cannot remember anything sociology related :s:
im doin sociology for AS
Hi! I've tried to join the society twice using the methods described and I still haven't been invited to join. Is it because you think I'm a crank? If so, I'm not, I genuinely have a degree in psychology, PGCE and am currently studying A Level intensive sociology, so that I can teach that as well next year. Also, I'm now beginning to fall in love with sociology too and would love to talk about it with others.

In the light of this information, can you explain why you wouldn't let me join?

Thanks

Ice Mario

I don't take A2 Sociology just yet so i'm afraid I can't help you with that. I'm sure there is plenty of students on here taking an A2 in the subject that would be more than happy to help you answer it.
Please may I join, I'm afraid I'm not doing the AS, but I'm very interested in the subject as a whole =]

I'm sure that should be fine.
I've asked to join aswell but I don't think i'm part of the society yet, so my request is obviously still pending. Doesn't look like this society is in much use these days though. :frown:
Uggh - I dropped sociology. I'm an archaeologist now. It's basically sociology to be honest but related to the past instead of present...

Anyway I guess I don't really deserve to be founder of this society now!
Right everyone - I am retiring as leader of this society.

If anyone wants to take over leadership that is fine by me, just say so. If nobody responds within like a week then the society will just be deleted.

So g'on, power struggle time!

Sociology deserves a better response than this :frown:
I live for the subject.

can anyone help me with synoptic links in unit 6 crime and deviance??
The easy way to do them is to go through your AS notes and jot down every reference to studies etc. you come across that could be related to crime and deviance.

Eg. if you did Education then you'll have done stuff on youth subcultures - you should be able to feed some of this material into crime and deviance.

If you did Family you can link primary and secondary socialisation to crime and deviance (as forms of social cotnrol, for example).

Hey  Great job at forming such group ...I would love to become a member.
Sociology is a highly interesting subject, with all its diverse dimensions, but still it can be correlated easily to our daily lives. I have an Alevel in sociology, and am currently studying it also at university. However I'm not sure if i would continue with it as my primary subject, because of the lack of job opportunities regarding sociology in my country.
Anyways..Thanks again for this group:smile:
I think you're a bit late with this karen.

what country are you from?
