Can anyone shed some light on 'Caledonian Road' accommodation? It's the cheapest ensuite on the price list however I see nothing about it on their website.

If I put proximity to UCL as my most important factor, is that like saying I want to be placed in Arthur Tattersall? Because I want to be in Ramsay Hall
Sorry if this has already been answered!
Hi, i have put my most important factor as cheapness, but i also really want to have a single room, i put "no" for wanting a shared room. If i put "no" for whether id like a shared room if no single rooms are available, im worried i might not get offered a room?? but then if i put yes, and loads of people put no, then will i be more likely to be put in a shared?? id really apreciate some advice anyone please!!

Hi,
in my application form there was an option of studio. I put it as my last choice but at the same tine i said no for sharing. Does anyone know how studios are (if im assigned to it) and can i make a call to make sure they dont put me in a studio?

My housing app was working just fine until yesterday, and now it says my details can not be found when I try to login! Does anyone else have this problem?

I got rejected by UCL.

I hate you all.

We love you too.
Hi guys,

I really like the idea of having accommodation at Astor College because of the fridge in rooms available. However, how can I manipulate the application so that my chances of getting this accommodation is optimised?

There is a section of "needs" however I believe this is referring to whether you have an medial requirements etc. It also asks about price and although I could put maximum of £140, this would mean there are only a few other colleges I'd be chosen to have if they didn't give me Astor. The 1 preference drop-down list they give you is *******s also and is no help lol!

Cheers

I hate this, it's a nightmare. Do I want to pay a hefty sum for the comfort of a bathroom or save myself a sweet amount and live in nightmareish shared bathroom world! Argh!
Guys, when they say you're guaranteed accommodation, do they mean accommodation in student house is guaranteed (what Im applying for) or they may find accommodation somewhere else?

You made me feel better about my offer.

I got rejected by Imperial, it was my only gateway to a Top 3 Uni in the UK.

OH WELL UCL has hot girls. Who can complain?

That's the spirit, it's all where the girls are :colone:

What did you apply to Imperial for?

Computer Science. Don't get me wrong Imperial is the worst place in History if you want to do any Socialising, but it has been ranked Number 3-5 Uni in the UK pretty much since 1995.... I dunno guess I'm one of those Prestige losers.

What about you? What did you hope to study and where do you intend to study now.

My sister goes to Imperial and yeah her social life is pretty non existent. LOL

Same, the prestige factor matters a lot to me too  UCL IS prestigious, give yourself a pat on the back for getting in

Law at Kings College London for me hopefully.
(Where all the UCL rejects go) -____-

Oh wow well thank you for the Heads up...Kings is my firm....they gave me a pretty low offer teeheehee.

Ah wow that's great successful family! Kings Law is v v prestigious so congrats!!!

And thanks again you've put me in a good mood, I'm looking forward to working towards my grades now. Let's do this sister ! :colondollar:

Really?! What was your offer?

Are you a home or an international student x:biggrin:

AAB for Kings - some people on my course got asked for AAA and A*AA...

Home  x
Hi,

Does anyone have information on John Dodgson? I'm looking for En-suite, self-catered, and a great social scene. Any ideas what I should put as my main preference when applying as to ensure I can get a place here?

Thanks!
Any idea when we will hear back with accommodation offers? I sent my application in last week and i read somewhere that they let you know about july-august but that was a long time ago and i don't know if the information is correct.
Is the accommodation first come first served? Just that I sent mine in last week and now I am worried :frown:

From everything i read about UCLs accommodation allocation process it is NOT first come first serve, as long as you send in your application before the deadline at the end of May. TAfter that you may not be guaranteed a place at their housing or halls and may have to look for altentative accommodation. If you've sent in your application last week you're good to go. I just don't know when you hear back with offers.
