For me, I'm going to go to Edinburgh and transfer to heriot watt if I do not like it in the first year.
They are both good unis, I just want to be in the city for the first year, the exchanges through heriot watt are good.
In terms of prestige, it doesn't really matter since companies want to look at your internships and whatnot.
