Are people who already have A levels and bachelor's eligible for Access courses ?

For example someone already has A levels and a bachelor's degree
Can they take an Access to Engineering course (since they don't have the A levels for an Engineering degree) and also a Beng degree ? Would they be eligible for entry into those two ?
Hi there @AccessCourseinfo

Access to HE courses are designed for people who do not have any or very few formal qualifications so it is unlikely someone who already has A-Levels and a degree would be accepted onto a course, information on the courses are here. You would be best to contact the colleges and enquire as to entry requirements.

Some may accept you based on you having a break from education and needing different qualifications to apply for the BEng.

I would check first that the BEng courses you are already interested in wouldn't already accept you and if you did require different qualifications ensure the access course would be accepted. Could you do a foundation degree? You can then contact the access provider to ask if they'd accept people already qualified. On my access course there were people with previous degrees.

It seems though that you wouldn't be eligible for student finance, either for the access or BEng as you are already qualified to these levels, would this be an issue?

Good luck
