So, this is my blog. Encouraged to start it maybe so others can gain some inspiration and motivation. I’m starting this blog at a healthy weight and already been going to the gym since ending GCSEs.

Background:
Before and during GCSEs I contracted measles, this happened even though I’d had all the vaccines. While in hospital I was being weighed in the weighing scales and I weighed 91kg. After GCSEs the local gym was offering 6 free weeks at the gym. I started going to the gym during that time and saw immediate results, in that time I went down to 70kg. Now I go to the gym regularly and since the summer I’ve gone back up to 76kg but that’s muscle not fat. I go to the gym everyday and I row so expect to see daily updates on here.

Yesterday I had rowing:

Did a met con circuit (metabolic conditioning)

Consisted of 3 circuits of:

Barbell squats
Pull ups
1 min pace on bike
Dips
Slam ball
Plank 1 min
Jump lunges
Jump squats

These were all done for 30sec trying to get 20 on each one.


I then went to the gym few hours later.

I did:

seated dip 4 x 10 30 seconds rest at 73kg
Arm curl 4 x 10 30 seconds rest at 36kg
Diverging last pull down 4 sets:
1 set of 20 at 47kg
1 set of 10 at 52kg
repeat again

Triceps extension 4 x 10 30 seconds rest at 45kg
Pec fly set weights 5 x 10 at 45kg
Diverging seated row 5 sets 10 45kg
Converting shoulder press 4 x 10 at 27kg (need to improve that one, was at 18kg a week ago)
Rear delts 5 x 10 at 45kg (need to do more on that one to get a more rounded figure on the chest).

I then did 15mins on the treadmill at a fast walking pace to work on calf’s

Did a 5k on the rowing machine, completed it in 19mins 57 seconds. Need to improve on that as well
