Question about teachers references

When I began year 12 I wanted to do a psychology degree, so I discussed this with my psych teacher and he was supportive. However, since then I have changed my mind and now want to do an English degree, but my English teacher who completed my reference is not aware of this. Would uni's think it odd that my psych teacher may have ticked the box 'Is suitable for higher education in this subject' whereas my English teacher may have ticked the box 'Is suitable for higher education'?
