People out late in year 10

I’m in year 10 and a lot of people I know often go to the park with big groups of people and drink/smoke, and get back late (9 or 10).
I’m in no way jealous, but how in the world do they get it past their parents? My parents would never let me stay out until 10 at the park 😂😂😂

I always thought that when I was in year 10. Maybe they have parents who are working or are out really late, or maybe their parents just don't care.
I don' know if I would have been allowed out until 9/10 PM, I was never interested in doing that. I probably would have been allowed out in summer but not in winter

I mean I'm not particularly interested in doing it either
Some people's parents are just a lot more laidback, or the kids are sneaking out and back in
