HELP! What are my Chances of securing a training contract/ alternatives?

I’m a law graduate interested in pursuing a career in commercial law. The problem so far has been with my a levels (ABC) and the fact that I’ve attained a first class in a non-Russell group uni.I’ve faced rejections when applying for quite a number of roles including TC’s for which I’ve never went past the online application stage. What are my chances in pursuing a legal career as a commercial law or are there any other less competitive sectors worth pursuing?

What other jobs did you apply for apart from training contract. It also depends on your uni (non russel group unis like Kent, Leicester or Lancaster as employers tend to be quite picky) as well as extra curriculars and work experience.

Without being too obvious, I went to a former polytechnic, so not the best reputation. I’ve applied for paralegal roles, but I’m also thinking about other graduate schemes.

I don’t have paid work experience yet but in terms of work experience I done a legal advice role for a few months, and other shorter legal work experiences. As an extracurricular is took part in debating in my unis society and I have creative interests.
