MPhil Music @ Cambridge Reviews

Hi, currently in PAO for MPhil in Music at Cambridge. Does anyone have any feedback or opinions on the course? How was the workload? How were the supervisions and the faculty?

Any positive or negative reviews would be appreciated.

Hi, I'm an applicant for MPhil in Music(composition) at Cambridge. Are you major in musicology? I can't find information or applicant for composition anywhere and now I'm confuse about contents of research proposal for composition applicant. If you were an composition applicant, Can I ask some question? Thank you

Hi there, I applied for the same course but specialised in musicology, just had my interview on 24th of March and waiting for the result. 'Under review by department' on the applicant portal. May I ask a question: how long did it take to move forward from 'under review by department' in your case? A little bit anxious now ...
Hi. Might be a bit of a long shot but I have my interview tomorrow for the MPhil in Music. Does anyone have any advice please?

Hi! Best of luck and thank you, I think it did! Are you going for the Musicology or Composition pathway? I am Musicology. I would really look into your research methods, why you might have chosen a specific timeline, why certain sources, why the topic in general etc. But as long as you show willing and you have prepared for questions like these I’m sure you will be fine. If you’re doing Composition, sorry I can’t be of much help. I wish you all the best and do let me know how it goes. Hopefully see you in Cambridge next year!
