Have you made a list somewhere else you could link here please?

When I find the thread, I will link it here, of course. It is somewhere in existence.

What are some of the best movies in your own opinion? I haven't watched most movies/'classics' that people talk about but i'm not sure which ones I actually need to watch and which movies are overrated.

Any good movie (or Netflix series) suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I've finished my A-levels and have loads of free time!

Thank you!

Saving Private Ryan

The opening sequence was the best I have ever seen in a film: brutal, realistic, thrilling, dramatic and stunning. In total a powerful filming of World War II.
Today I watched a great movie of the 80s

Starman

Perhaps a tad premature since it's not released for another week but Dune 2 has just received a critical review score of 98% on Rotten Tomatoes and is being called one of the greatest sci Fi films ever made with likely Oscar domination next year.

I did enjoy the first a lot.

Though to answer the OP there are two films for me which are leagues above everything else.

1) Gladiator - Magnificent
2) Titanic - Masterpeice
