I haven't received an invite for an interview, just an offer letter. Good luck with your interview/if you've already sat it then I hope it went well

No, the grades on my application are my predicted grades. I am kind of paranoid now that I haven't been invited for an interview but given an offer, I hope I haven't missed an email or something:confused: may I ask if you're an international applicant? maybe this is why you were invited to an interview because they want to know a bit more about you??? i don't know:s-smilie:

Lol… No I’m UK Home student.. I think interviews are being held once a week from now into December. To get an offer though without interview is great! Maybe they are sifting the interviewed ones out.. arghhh.. 🤔😌

I was thinking of asking a question about this in the Lancaster 2023 thread then I had a brain wave - I have applied for physics only at Aberystwyth but physical NatSci every where else. maybe Lancaster doesn't interview home applicants for NatSci as much as they do for physics. sorry I completely forgot that I hadn't applied for physics at Lancaster!! hopefully this is the reason why

I was unsure between physical natsci and a straight physics course for a while before I prepared and sent off my application, constantly deciding on one and then running back to the other. I absolutely adore physics and it is my favourite A-level, but I also really enjoy chemistry (maths, too, but my heart lies in the sciences). The chemistry that I really enjoy is the physical chemistry (I do enjoy organic and inorganic too, but definitely not as much as physical). Natural sciences seemed like the perfect option because it means I can study what I like at a higher level, with the flexibility to drop a subject when I'm ready. I can imagine myself specialising in physics - so why didn't I apply for straight physics? - if I am still able to get the breadth and depth in the subject whilst trialling out chemistry at degree level, then no harm done

This means that I can still imagine myself feeling content if I ended up going to Aberystwyth because of physics. It's also an ideal insurance choice for me because I was struggling to find an insurance/safety uni and area that I actually liked.

Understandable. I was going btw physics and engineering but by doing physics I can do engineering at masters level later and get the best from both hopefully.
