Scrapping UCAS?

Does anyone know about UCAS getting rid of personal statements? What would they be replaced with?

They will be getting rid of them for the 24/25 cycle so not the one coming this September.
They are replacing it with a serious of questions which in all honesty sound just as bad if not worse than a personal statement. Their justification is that the personal statement makes the education gap worse and private school kids etc get so much more help, I’m not sure how they think a series of questions will change that unless those questions are answered under timed and controlled conditions which they obviously won’t be! Makes admissions job easier though.
