Failing a PGCE and getting kicked off the course.

Does anyone know if I fail my placement re sit for my PGCE do I get instantly kicked off the course? If so, do I have to pay my student finance back straight away or pay it back like I usually would. Because technically I personally haven’t dropped out.

Hi there,

If the university withdraw you from the course, they will need to send us a change of circumstances to confirm this. We will then update the application accordingly and repayments will update you when you should repay. Normally if you have an overpayment, this will be due to be repaid straight away, or if you're going back into study will come off future finance. The remaining balance would be repaid as normal and only when earning over the threshold.
