What do mean by 'in depth'? Is this something your employer is asking for?
You usually don’t write your own sick notes.
What is it that you need to do? It is up to your GP to write you a sick note unless your employer needs something else from you. 
Some employers do a ‘return to work’ process/Ron if you’ve self certified. They should give you guidance on completing it.
