Gap year or uni 2023?
I don't know whether to take a gap year or not:
Obviously there's pros and cons either way and ultimately a personal choice but any advice or personal experiences would be helpful
I have a few ideas of volunteering travelling etc I would want to do but it's tempting to just go to uni and see where it takes me while I've got my academic drive from A levels.
I also don't know whether I would defer my offers (Bristol, Bath or Newcastle) or reapply and try to get into Cambridge but I don't know whether it's worth the effort again without guarantee I would get in even with my grades.

People have different experiences when it comes to gap years. Often, although not always, people who travel think their gap year was wonderful, whereas people who stay at home and perhaps work feel a little left behind as their peers go off to uni.
It might help to sit down and write a pros and cons list, and think really carefully about what you'd actually want to do during a gap year.
