Higher English 10 mark question

How do you do the 10 mark question in Higher English? My exam is on Tuesday and I have pretty much no idea how to do it. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

The way I like to do it is like this:

This extract
(answer the question based on the extract shown)
2 quotes and analysis that answer the question

Then do the same thing for other texts you have studied which answer the question x3

Commonality
Basically just sum up how your evidence answers the question for each text you have mentioned.
Eg, if the question is about the how the theme of loss is explored you could say "Norman McCaig explores the theme of loss in 'Aunt Julia' through the loss of Aunt Julia's life, and explores the impact it has on the speaker, and the regret he feels at never being able to communicate with her."
