Possible blood in stool panicking

So I'm panicking because I just had a bowel movement, it seemed pretty normal but then it had this red piece in it. I thought it was just food but when I examined it it completely fell apart and smeared on the toilet paper which makes me terrified that it is blood. it was a bright red colour, sort of orangey, ive had this before but only a very tiny amount this time it was a big piece of red that smeared completely. I've also been having more frequent (but still solid) bowel movements so that makes me even more concerned. I'm gonna go to the doctor but idk what to do because its exam season and I can't revise when I'm anxious. Is it possible this is still from red food like red pepper or is it definitely blood since when I picked it out it smeared?? Sorry for tmi I just don't know what to do right now.

Based on that it doesn't sound like it's immediate cause for concern even if it is blood.

Hopefully but I thought any blood in a bowel movement was something serious? Because I'm pretty sure I don't have haemorrhoids or an anal fissure so if it isn't that surely it has to be something serious...
