Fun maths problem (GCSE level)

Hi!

I just did this problem and thought it was quite fun and worth sharing for other GCSE students to have a crack at.

I've answered around half of the questions and all the solutions are beautiful - despite it only being GCSE level! :biggrin:

Those questions are good.

Here are my favourite hard GCSE maths questions because they say what percentage of students nationally achieved full marks:

I've also done some of these today - it's extremely surprising how low scoring they are! :s-smilie:

It is. When you're intellectually gifted, you may not realise how stupid the average person is.

It is until you remember that the average grade nationally is a 5, so even medium difficulty higher paper questions are often going to have <20% success rates.
