Masters in education

I wanted to ask if you can do a Masters degree in education straight after your bachelors degree without having done teacher training. I would like to do a masters in education and then get into teacher training. Is that possible?

Hi @zoechka,

Some Masters courses ask that you have experience in the subject field (as well as having an undergraduate degree). This does not necessarily have to be teacher training, so could be volunteering in a relevant setting such as a school/childcare/educational establishment etc. It would be best to speak to the university you're interested in directly, as they'll be able to give you more detailed information.

At the University of Suffolk, we offer two Masters courses which might be of interest
One is our Education Studies MA - https://www.uos.ac.uk/courses/pg/mapgdpgc-education-studies
And the other is our Childhood Studies MA - https://www.uos.ac.uk/courses/pg/ma-childhood-studies

Kind regards,

Amy
