I cant collect my plastic retainer so they are posting it to me, will this matter?
I got my braces off a week ago and i was supposed to get my retainer this week but unfortunately i live 4 hours from home and genuinely cannot afford the train just to fetch my retainer. I called my dentist and they said that instead they will post it to me. I am slightly worried because im not sure if retainers are supposed to be fitted or anything? Will everything be fine? I waited 4 years for straight teeth so I really don’t want them to shift or something to go wrong aha.
You should have had the impressions taken when you had your braces off, and the retainers will be made from that. If they feel uncomfortable when you try them the first time, just let your orthodontist know.
