Thoughts on John Locke Institute summer school?

I've heard some bad things and some good about it and at the expensive price point I'm not sure whether I should go. Does anyone have any experience or thoughts?

It’s basically a scam, they accept everybody and the interview process is just to make it seem selective. For 4k you could do so many more valuable things over the summer. Additionally, the “scholarships” they provide are only worth £500 so hardly do anything to make the courses accessible to high performing students from disadvantaged backgrounds. I hold an offer from Oxford for law and would avoid mentioning all these private institution that rent out Oxford and Cambridge colleges over summer and then claim to increase yours chances of getting an offer. Stick to University run schemes, there are so many and they are much more well respected!
