did a level, get a fresh pair of eyes to look at it, you are your worst critic. i would definitely recommend sitting down with your teacher - we sat down with a brand new sketchbook and literally ripped pages out to rearrange and make sure it flowed better before i thought about adding practical work. in terms of aesthetics, i tried to use the same 3 fonts, and typed all of my annotations. i avoided doing backgrounds across double pages - usually backgrounds and artist researches on the right hand side and practical work or photos on the left. dont be afraid to use lots of sketchbooks - i had several small ones like a drawing one, a papercut one, a photography and colour study one, experimentation and failures etc. you have a whole year to keep working and keep improving so keep it up and have fun!
