help for english lit edexcel coursework ideas

hi i’m starting my a level english lit coursework and was considering to have lolita by vladimir nabokov as one of my books, i’m a bit stuck on what to compare it with. i was thinking maybe the virgin suicides, but does anyone have any other suggestions? im not yet 100% sure in the themes i would want to talk about, but possibly the male gaze/ male fantasy

hmm, here are some ideas based on the main themes:

post 2000s:
– The Kite Runner (sexual violence ??, unreliable narrator)
– Atonement (female sexuality)

20th century:
– The Handmaiden’s Tale (male dominated world, female sexuality
– The Colour Purple (female sexuality)
– The Great Gatsby (male gaze)
– The Remains of the Day (unreliable narrator)

pre 1900:
– Wuthering Heights (love)
– Jane Eyre (women)
– Little Women (women)
– Frankenstein (obsession??)
