RAF Technical Training info

Hi there,

I'm currently going through the application process for a communications engineer role in the RAF and I have trouble finding any resources that go into greater detail about what training is like after IOT.

As the only information I can find is on the job page on the website.

If you know any resources that are available would you be able to send me a link?

Site rules are that "TSR is not here to help anyone gain an unfair advantage over others in interviews, academic work or similar."

You'll have to do further research yourself or go with the information you have and explain that at interview (remembering that this question is just a small part of what is being asked and what you are required to demonstrate).

Start by clarifying the actual role you are going for if you want people to help - IOT (it's actually MIOT these days) is for officer roles (e.g. Engineer Officer (Communications Electronics)), BRTC is for all others e.g. Communications Infrastructure Technician or Cyberspace Communication Specialist. Similarly the follow on training will be different too.
