Which clearing unis 2023 are good for biochemistry?

Hey @Alen237leen, how are you?

I'd recommend having a look into a wide range of uni's and having a look at their facilities, what research opportunities there are, their rankings/accreditations for the course. Take a look at each uni's programme and see if the modules align with your interests and goals, does the uni offer specific specialisations within biochemistry?

Are you wanting to study in a campus based or city university? Have you thought about whether you want to move into student accommodation or live at home so you can factor in the distance.

Another good idea is to look into the support on offer at each uni, the societies and clubs, what student life is like to really get a feel for whether you could see yourself there. You can speak to students directly using unibuddy, so I'd definitely recommend checking it out and chatting to current students about their experiences. Alternatively, you can check out the uni's social medias and find student blogs, profile, vlogs all on their experiences at the uni and on the course so hopefully you find these helpful in making your decision!

Once you've done some research I'd definitely say to book onto some open days so you can get a feel for the campus, the facilities, the overall atmosphere and chat to academics and students.

Good luck with your decision! I wish you the very best of luck for the future

Nobody can tell you at this stage. More universities are likely to release their courses on results day. Have a look at universities you are interested in and check whether that course is available then. Usually Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, UCL, Imperial, Durham and St Andrews dont enter clearing. Nearly all others will but not for every subject
