It's a year 3 unit (usually) for the Management students, it replaces the dissertation option.
OP - if the Manc business school is anything like my School and department, course selection and finalisation will still be in flux owing to the hangover from the marking boycott, so you'll have to hang in there maybe for a couple more weeks.
