I'm not planning on drinking either, there's a lot of other things to do  Which uni are you going?

Not at all. I don't drink for religious reasons and I don't plan on drinking ever.

You should never feel pressured to drink just because it's seen as the "norm"

Do you mean not to drink in a course? no. You can drink before or after the course, if that suits to you.

Hey @ClemmieSilk,
Drinking at uni (and in general) is a personal choice and one that is not for everyone.
In answer to your question, it is not weird to not drink at uni.
Before I started uni, I had a similar concern because I hadn't drank beforehand and I went to Uni at 17. I still felt actively involved and got to experience lots without drinking.
I still don't drink and that is a personal choice. All my friends do and I don't mind it at all - I mainly don't because I don't like the taste.
Hope that helps to give some reassurance - Catherine (University of Strathclyde Student Ambassador)

No it’s not weird, I would say there is a sizeable and less noticeable minority that don’t. It’s a pretty sensible choice really
