Can you get funding for a PhD with a good 2:1 in Engineering (Cambridge)

I wanted to stay on for a PhD after I graduated (am currently an undergrad at Cambridge). The problem is my grades (I did well in IIA but unfortunately not well enough to offset my 2:2 in IB), I don't think that it's good enough to get a funded PhD given that I'm an international student.
If anyone has ever been in my position and managed to get one please let me know how you did it.

You need to speak to the staff that are all around you, they are the experts! They can advise you generally on how to make a competitive PhD application and the specifics of your circumstances.
